About Cloud 9 Hill Race
Congleton Harriers' Cloud Nine takes runners into the Cheshire hills on 7 March 2027. This 9-mile trail race climbs from Congleton to the summit of Bosley Cloud at 1125 feet, then descends via the Bridestones, accumulating around 1250 feet of ascent over roughly 14.5 km. The route is marked and marshalled, with electronic navigation devices not permitted.
The event runs under FRA Category BM rules. Runners must be over 18 and are required to carry mandatory kit including a waterproof jacket and trousers with taped seams and hood, plus hat and gloves. A cut-off time of 60 minutes operates at approximately 3.9 miles into the race. Registration takes place at Congleton Leisure Centre on the day, where race numbers and a course map are issued. Parking is available at nearby public car parks rather than at the leisure centre itself.
