About Cotswold Way Ultra Challenge
The Cotswold Way Ultra Challenge takes place across 12-13 June 2027 as a looped trail event based at Cirencester. Runners can tackle either a 10 km option or the full 100 km route, both navigating rolling hills, villages and the Cotswold Way itself through a mix of footpaths and trails. The course is fully signed with pink arrows and glow-sticks marking night sections, with GPS tracking available via app.
Support is embedded throughout, with rest stops positioned roughly every 12.5 km and larger marquee stops at approximately 25 km intervals. These provide catering including snacks, main meals and energy drinks tailored to dietary requirements. Medical teams including doctors, paramedics, first aiders, podiatrists and massage therapists are stationed along the route, with a 24 hour control room coordinating support. Timing is logged at rest stops to track participant progress.
Accommodation options include camping at basecamp and a satellite campsite near the 50 km point for those running across both days. Shuttle buses and transfers support local travel between locations.
