About Crag Fell Handicap Race
Crag Fell Handicap Race takes runners to the fells above Moor Row in Cumberland for a 2.5 mile trail race with 410 metres of climb. The handicap format, which gives slower runners a head start, means competitors set off at staggered intervals calculated individually by the organiser. The race takes place on 5 December 2026.
Entry is by pre-entry only, with runners required to register by email so their start time can be determined. Participants are asked to bring a prize to the event, operating on a "bring a prize, to win a prize" basis. The minimum age for entry is 14.
