About Crocodile Challenge
The Crocodile Challenge takes place over six hours at Ryton Pools Country Park near Coventry, allowing participants to complete as many laps as they can manage within the time limit. The loop is a 3.3 mile out and back trail route on mainly crushed stone with a short single track section, totalling just over 5k per lap. The course is relatively flat with a few small rises, running around pools and open pasture.
Runners, walkers and hikers can all take part, with four laps covering a half marathon distance and eight laps a full marathon. The event is held on 21 January 2027 and supports canicross with short leads and rucking. Ryton Pools Country Park is located about 15 minutes south of Coventry and 15 minutes from Junction 16 of the M1, with both Rugby and Coventry train stations nearby. The venue has on-site parking, a cafe and toilet facilities.
