About Cuckmere Haven - Beachy Head 15 Miles - Guided Run
On 9 August 2026, Trail Run Explorers leads a guided 15-mile trail run starting from Seven Sisters Country Park in Seaford. The route traverses the South Downs above the white chalk cliffs of the Seven Sisters, crosses sections of the South Downs Way, passes through Friston Forest and along the Cuckmere River before descending to Cuckmere Haven beach. With approximately 581 metres of elevation gain, the course is notably hilly.
This is a social group run rather than a competitive race, with runners expected to move together and pause to appreciate viewpoints. The event includes a safety briefing and is led by a run leader qualified as both an EA-accredited leader and UESCA ultra running coach. Runners should bring trail trainers, a waterproof jacket, warm kit, a foil blanket, basic first aid supplies, a charged phone, snacks and water. The route has no official refill point except near Birling Gap, roughly three to four miles from the finish.
