About Dark Side of the Combe
A 12.5 km fell race with 625 metres of climb, Dark Side of the Combe takes runners across trail terrain in the Lake District on 31 August 2026. The event is part of the Black Combe Country Fair near Bootle in Cumberland and welcomes entries on the day.
Teams of three are permitted to compete alongside individual runners, with a minimum age of 18 for participants. Recent course records stand at 01:03:32 for men and 01:14:10 for women, both set in 2018.
