Taking place on 6 September 2026, Darwen Tough 10km is a trail running event based at Blacksnape Playing Fields in Darwen. The 10km route incorporates the hilly terrain of the Darwen Half Marathon course, creating a demanding profile that runners will experience on an anticlockwise loop starting and finishing at the playing fields.
The course follows the half marathon route up to Bull Hill before diverging onto trail and path sections, then rejoining on Blacksnape Road near the Old Crown and Thistle pub. Runners will encounter both road and off-road surfaces across the route's demanding terrain.
