Trail runners seeking a welcoming community event will find plenty to enjoy in the Denby Dash. Organised by Denby Village Conservation Group, this 5.6 mile single-lap race takes place on 31 August 2026, starting and finishing at The George Inn in Denby Dale. The route winds through countryside including fields, woodland and conservation land, passing through the historic Quaker village of High Flatts and climbing approximately 700 feet across varied off-road terrain.
The event suits both recreational and club runners, with junior races held earlier in the day. The race village at The George Inn offers live music and refreshments throughout, with homemade flapjack provided to all finishers.
