About Denis Stitt Memorial Race
Holmfirth Harriers has organised the Denis Stitt Memorial Fell Race for a number of years, and it remains a fixture in the club's fell championship calendar. Held at Cartworth Moor Cricket Club in Kirklees, the event takes runners over two laps of a 6 km course with approximately 370 m of climb.
The route combines bridleways, footpaths, fields, woodland paths and a short stretch of tarmac, offering varied terrain across an undulating landscape. Marshals position themselves along marked routes to guide participants. A bar and food are available at the venue after racing concludes.
