About Derby Derwent Trail Run
The Derby Derwent Trail Run takes runners through Elvaston Castle Country Park in Derby, with three distances to choose from: 10 km, 13.1 miles and 15 km. The route winds through woodland trails, open parkland and riverside paths alongside the River Derwent, with surfaces ranging from trail and grass to firmer footpaths. The course is marked with pink arrows and tape, with caution signs at hazards and road junctions.
Taking place on 18 April 2027, the event includes chip timing and water stations along the route, with course marshals and on-site first aid cover. The start and finish are based in the park's open areas. Participants should bring a reusable cup or bottle, as the event operates a plastic-free policy at water stations, and arrive with a QR code for registration. Spectators are welcome.
