About Derwent Reservoir 10 Miler
Derwent Reservoir sits on the border between County Durham and Northumberland, and this trail running event makes use of the scenic landscape around its shores. Held at Edmundbyers near Consett, the Derwent Reservoir Runs returns for its ninth year on 16 May 2027, now scheduled for May to accommodate increased on-site parking.
Two distances are available: 5 miles and 10 miles. Both routes follow mixed terrain using firm trails and some closed roads around the reservoir. The 10 mile race operates under a 2.5 hour cut-off due to road closures. Live chip timing is provided throughout.
