About Dirt Half Challenge
On Saturday 7 November 2026, the Dirt Half Challenge takes runners on a 13.1-mile trail route through Bedfordshire. Starting from Leighton Buzzard, the course loops through Tiddenfoot Waterside Park before heading north along the Grand Union Canal towpath towards Stoke Hammond. From there the route climbs into countryside, passes through Great Brickhill and Rushmere Country Park woodland, then returns via the Greensand Ridge and canal towpath back to finish with another lap of Tiddenfoot Waterside Park.
The terrain is mixed throughout, combining towpath, off-road hills, woodland and boggy flood plain sections. Marshals and volunteers support runners on the course, with first aid provision in place.
