About Eight Stations Ultra
This 50 km trail ultra takes runners from Pickering to Whitby across the North Yorkshire Moors, following mixed terrain that winds alongside the North Yorkshire Moors Railway and the Esk Valley Walk. The 2027 edition reverses the direction of previous years, with the route passing eight railway stations en route to the finish. Runners should expect around 3,322 feet of ascent spread across undulating terrain.
Five marshaled checkpoints along the course offer water and snacks, with vegan and gluten-free options available. First aid cover is in place throughout the day. The event welcomes entrants aged 20 and over, and walkers are permitted provided they finish within 13 hours. A GPX route is available, subject to minor changes. Dogs are not allowed on the course due to its agricultural nature.
