A 4-mile trail loop on the Town Moor in Newcastle upon Tyne forms the basis of this backyard ultra format, where competitors must complete each circuit within the hour to stay in contention. Beginning at noon on 31 October 2026, participants start a new lap on every hour mark from the Grandstand Road area, with the race continuing until only one runner remains standing.
The event follows a "last man standing" format with no predetermined finish distance. Runners must return to the starting line before each new hour begins; failure to do so results in elimination. Check-in opens at 08:00, with a mandatory briefing at 11:00 before the first lap gets underway at midday. This marks the first time the Town Moor has hosted a backyard ultra event, despite the location's established history with local running communities.
