About Ennerdale Show Race
The Ennerdale Show Race takes runners across open fell terrain of grass and heather towards the summit of Gavel Fell. The 7.5 km senior course includes 330 metres of ascent, with two checkpoints marking the route up and down the fell.
Held in Lamplugh on 26 August 2026 as part of the annual Ennerdale Show, the race runs under Fell Runners Association rules and welcomes competitors of all abilities. Junior races are also organised for U10, U12, U14 and U16 age groups. Prizes are awarded across gender and age categories.
