About Eyam Half Marathon
The Eyam Half Marathon has become a fixture for those drawn to the historic Plague Village and its surrounding hills. Starting and finishing in Eyam on 16 May 2027, this 13.1-mile road race climbs over 400 feet in the opening two miles before easing across Bretton and Abney. The course then descends 800 feet over 4.5 miles towards Hathersage, followed by a demanding 800-foot climb over two miles and a final 400-foot drop back into Eyam. In total, runners tackle more than 1,500 feet of ascent over the route.
The race attracts runners keen to test themselves on its rolling terrain, with many returning year after year. A small number of walking places are also available for those who wish to complete the course on foot.
