About Five Trig Points
Five Trig Points is a self-navigated fell race across 18.5 miles of Oldham's trails on 26 September 2026. Participants must locate nine checkpoints in the correct ascending order, though the recommended route can be adapted provided runners stick to public rights of way. Navigation kit—map, compass, waterproofs, hat and gloves—is essential, along with spare clothing and food.
The event includes three manned checkpoints offering snacks and drinks during the race, with free soup and hot drinks waiting at the finish. The standard 10am start suits those confident of meeting the cut-off times; an earlier 9am start is available for those who need it. All walkers begin at 9am.
