About Flying Scotsman Marathons & Half Marathons
The Flying Scotsman Marathons & Half Marathons takes place over the weekend of 12-13 September 2026 in Milton Keynes. Runners can choose between a half marathon of 13.1 miles or a full marathon of 26.2 miles, both completed on a hard compacted gravel trail with a couple of minor inclines and one small grass section. The course consists of scenic, traffic-free laps of 3.57 miles each.
Based at Caldecotte Pub and Grill, the event starts at 08:30 with mandatory race briefings held ten minutes before. Participants have a time limit of four hours for the half marathon and seven hours for the marathon. A large free car park with 200 spaces is available, and the location is easily accessible, sitting just 150 metres from the A5 and three miles from the M1, with nearby train stations at Bletchley (1.5 miles), Fenny Stratford (1 mile) and Bow Brickhill (1 mile away).
