About Forest of Dean Autumn Half Marathon
A trail half marathon through the Forest of Dean, this 13.1-mile event on 27 September 2026 takes runners over multi-terrain forest tracks with some hillier sections and shorter gravel stretches. The course is well-maintained and way-marked with yellow paint, starting and finishing at Speech House in Coleford with no road crossings to navigate.
Organised by The Rotary Club of the Royal Forest of Dean with support from the Forestry Commission, the race is marshalled throughout with mile-markers along the route. Water stations are positioned at roughly five-kilometre intervals. Runners must be at least 17 years old on race day, and road running shoes or trainers are suitable footwear for the terrain. Proceeds from the event support local charities.
