About Foxton Hound Ultra
The Foxton Hound Ultra offers experienced ultramarathoners and those venturing beyond marathon distance a substantial trail challenge across the East Midlands. Starting and finishing at Winwick Hall Estate near Northampton on 14 August 2027, runners can choose between 50K and 100K routes that follow sections of the Harborough Round through quiet countryside, farmland and woodland spanning Northamptonshire and Leicestershire.
The course weaves past notable landmarks including Foxton Locks and the Naseby battlefield, with varied terrain encompassing trails, rural paths and rolling hills. Long runnable sections break up the technical ground. Navigation support comes via GPX files and clearly marked key sections, while checkpoints along the route offer food, drink and first aid cover throughout the event.
