Those seeking a proper winter trail challenge will find it at G3 - no 2, held at Drydown Farm near Guildford on 30 January 2027. The 10 km and 15 km courses take runners across muddy terrain, forest trails, sandy sections and rivers, with hills throughout and scenic views across the landscape. Both distances follow the same marked route until a signposted split point.
The route is entirely off-road, so trail shoes are essential. Runners should expect to encounter horses and mountain bikers on the lesser-known trails, and there are road crossings where volunteer marshals will be positioned. Free onsite parking is available, with the start at 0800. Race numbers are collected on the day rather than sent in advance.
