About Garstang Half Marathon
Garstang Half Marathon covers 13.1 miles of undulating road running through the Lancashire countryside surrounding the market town of Garstang. The single-lap course takes in rolling terrain with several hills, offering runners a more challenging alternative to flatter half marathon courses. The changing gradients and rural setting mean pacing strategy plays an important part in tackling the route.
Organised by Garstang Running Club, the race has become an established fixture in the local running calendar. The event takes place on 6 September 2026, with race headquarters at Garstang Sports Club and the start nearby at the Royal Oak.
