About General Sosabowski Race
Taking place on 30 August 2026, the General Sosabowski Race offers runners an out-and-back trail route along the beach between Leven and Lundin Links in Fife. The 5km course follows firm sand across the area where General Stanisław Sosabowski and the 1st Independent Parachute Brigade trained during the Second World War, combining a coastal run with a piece of military history.
Organised by Nuts Trail Races under ARC Rules, the event welcomes adults and includes a separate 2.5km children's race for participants aged nine and over. Both races start from the Royal British Legion TA Centre in Leven. Every finisher receives a commemorative medal, with prizes for the leading male and female runners in each race.
