About Glasgow to Edinburgh Ultra
Run 57 miles of Scottish terrain linking Glasgow and Edinburgh on trail that follows canal towpaths and urban paths including the Forth and Clyde Canal, the Union Canal and the Water of Leith. Passing landmarks such as the Falkirk Wheel and the Antonine Wall, this point-to-point ultra takes place on 10 October 2026 with approximately 231 metres of elevation gain.
The event operates a 16-hour cut-off and welcomes runners aged 20 and over who have previously completed a marathon distance. Checkpoints are positioned throughout the route, some with full refreshments and others offering water only. A GPS tracker is mandatory and live tracking is provided by GB Race Tracker.
