About GNR & Time Turner | Durham
A 7-hour timed trail challenge on 30 August 2026, this Durham event invites runners to choose their own distance within a flexible lap-based format. Participants can complete as few or as many circuits as they wish around the 7 km course based at Durham Amateur Rowing Club, with 3 km and 5 km turnaround points built into each lap for those wanting shorter distances.
The structure allows runners to target specific distances: three laps equals a half marathon, six laps a full marathon, and seven or more laps venture into ultra territory, with a 50 km option also available. A fuel table sits at the start and finish of each lap to support runners throughout the challenge. Finishers receive a medal and goody bag, with special distance pins awarded for half marathon distances and beyond.
