About Goyt Valley Wild Trail Runs
Two trail running distances take runners through the Goyt Valley in the High Peak, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty near Buxton. The 7 km and 11 km courses wind through heather moorlands and mature woodlands, passing historical landmarks including the ruins of 19th-century Errwood Hall. Runners will also encounter views of Fernilee and Errwood Reservoirs as they navigate the natural trails.
Taking place on 31 October 2026, the event is based at The Street car park in Fernilee. Both courses are well-signed and suitable for trail runners of varying abilities. The inaugural running of these trail runs marks the first time the organiser has brought the event to this location in Derbyshire.
