About Great Bentley Trail Runs
Running across the summer and early autumn, Great Bentley Trail Runs is a four-round series taking place from June to September 2026. Each month hosts a different round in the Essex area, covering approximately 4 km on trail terrain that takes in public footpaths, fields, woods and some roads.
Runners compete in all four rounds to be eligible for club championship results. Each round is individually timed, with points awarded based on finishing times; separate champions are crowned for male and female competitors. Participants should bring their own water and a pen, as there are no water stations or clipper points on the courses. Results are submitted via text message with full details including name, membership status and finish time. Club members who complete the full series receive a free t-shirt, whilst non-members can purchase one at cost.
