About Great Hameldon Hill Race
The Hameldon Fell Race opens the Pendle and Burnley Grand Prix series each May, taking runners over roughly 10 km of trail terrain in the South and West Pennines near Accrington. Starting from Peel Park Hotel in Turkey Street, the course climbs 338 metres through the landscape surrounding Hameldon.
Organised with UK Athletics insurance and an FRA permit, the race welcomes adult runners of all abilities. Entry is available both in advance and on the day, and those interested should check the organiser's website for the latest details about the 2 May 2027 event.
