About Gullane Challenge
Runners tackle a varied coastal trail across East Lothian on the Gullane 8 Hour Challenge, completing as many 4.366 mile laps as they can manage within the eight-hour window. Each circuit winds through sandy beaches, rugged coastline, woodland trails and grassy fields, gaining approximately 367 feet of elevation with every loop.
Participants can shape their own challenge, whether aiming for half marathon, marathon or ultra marathon distance, with electronic lap timing tracking progress throughout.
