About Haldon Night
Haldon Night brings together runners of all ages for a series of night trail races through Haldon Forest near Exeter. Held on 16 January 2027, the event offers distances of 1 km, 2 km, 5 km and 10 km across marked trail courses, with reflective poles and arrows lighting the way. Head torches or chest torches are essential kit for navigating the routes after dark.
The races cater to different age groups, from the 1 km course for children aged 3 to 7 through to the 10 km for runners aged 15 and over. Adults are welcome to run alongside children in the younger categories at no extra charge. The event includes professional chip timing, medals for finishers, water and feed stations, first aid cover, and on-site parking, with food and refreshments available throughout the evening.
