About Her Tybie 10K Challenge
The Her Tybie 10K Challenge takes runners and walkers across trail terrain around Llandybie, Carmarthenshire, with steep climbs that showcase the village's lesser-known paths and industrial heritage. Starting from Llandybie Rugby Club on 11 October 2026, the roughly 10 km route appeals to those seeking a more challenging, multi-terrain experience rather than road running.
The event welcomes both runners and walkers with no time limit, fostering a community atmosphere. A separate walking and hiking event starts before the main race. Organised by Amman Valley Harriers and Joggers Club in partnership with Llandybie Town Council, the challenge draws a maximum of 300 participants. Changing facilities are available at the rugby club, and refreshments will be on site.
