About Hermitage Trail Runs
Hermitage Trail Runs takes place at Blackford Hill on 22 November 2026, with a 1.2km trail route starting from the Hermitage of Braid house. The course follows off-road routes and is clearly marked and marshaled throughout.
This event includes a festive fun run alongside longer trail races. Children taking part in the fun run receive an elf hat to wear and keep, with festive dress encouraged. All participants receive a post-race drink, snack and race memento. Proceeds from the fun run are donated to Friends of the Hermitage and Braid and Morningside Primary School.
