About Highlander Last One Standing
This backyard ultra takes place on the estate grounds at Blair Castle Caravan Park near Blair Atholl in Perthshire on 17 July 2027. Runners tackle a repeating trail loop of 4.167 miles, completing one loop per hour. The format is elimination-based: each runner must cross the finish line and be ready to start again before the hour expires. Those who miss the cut-off are out. The race continues hour after hour until only one runner remains, who must complete one final solo loop within the time limit to claim victory.
There are no specific qualification requirements to enter, though this is a Scottish Championship Silver Ticket event. Runners must carry mandatory kit including a foil blanket, water container, food and energy bars, a charged mobile phone with the race control number saved, a small first aid kit and a race vest. Recommended items are waterproofs, warm layers, hat, gloves and midge protection. Support crews are welcome and must complete Covid 19 documentation at registration.
