The Holmfirth 10K follows an undulating road course through the Holme Valley in West Yorkshire, taking in the countryside around Hade Edge with approximately 211 metres of ascent. Starting on Dunford Road, the route climbs gently towards Harden before descending to Winscar and running alongside Winscar Reservoir. A second climb rises onto Winscar Edge, then the course returns along the gently undulating Dunford Road with views across Winscar Reservoir and Thurlstone Moor. The final 2 kilometres provide a fast descent back towards the finish at Hade Edge recreation ground.
The race suits runners comfortable with sustained climbs and changing gradients. Evolved from the longstanding Holmfirth 15, this 10K takes place on 11 October 2026 and combines road running with a varied profile that rewards steady climbing and offers a quick descent to close the race.
