About Inferno Edale's Ring of Hell
Inferno Edale's Ring of Hell takes runners into the High Peak on 22 August 2026, starting from Edale village within easy reach of the train station. The course climbs steeply from the outset via Ringing Roger, then follows sheep tracks, muddy paths and rocky descents across demanding terrain, including a waterfall ascent.
Four distances cater to different ambitions: 10.5 miles, 15.5 miles, 28 miles and 41 miles. The longer routes involve substantial self-supported sections lasting 10 to 15 miles between checkpoints, requiring runners to carry adequate water supplies. Runners navigate using downloaded GPX files and marked route maps, making navigation their own responsibility.
