About Jon Ward Hereford 5K
A 5km road race on the cycle track at Hereford Leisure Centre, the Jon Ward 5K takes place on 17 August 2026. The course comprises five flat laps of smooth tarmac, designed as a fast, traffic-free setting for runners chasing personal bests. Held in memory of Hereford Couriers runner Jon Ward, the event welcomes participants of all abilities and celebrates his passion for running and charitable giving.
Organised by Hereford Couriers Running Club under UK Athletics Rules of Competition, the race features chip timing and full marshalling. Race HQ is based at the leisure centre, where runners have access to parking and event facilities. A Virtual 5K option is also available for those wishing to support the event from elsewhere.
