About Jurassic Extinction / Jurassic Coast
Trail runners with an interest in coastal landscapes can choose their challenge across the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage site stretching from Poole to Exmouth. The Jurassic Extinction takes place on 5 June 2027 and offers four main distances: 33km from Beer, 50km from Lyme Regis, 100km from Weymouth, and the full 105-mile route from Poole. Runners can also opt for the 70km section between Poole and Weymouth.
Each route traces the Devon coastline and passes through terrain rich in geological history spanning 185 million years. The event is based at Maer Road Long Stay car park in East Devon.
