About Keswick Half Marathon
Keswick Rugby Club has established this half marathon as a fixture in Cumbria's running calendar, with proceeds supporting the club's grassroots programme. Taking place above Derwent in the Lake District, the 13.1-mile road race starts and finishes at the rugby club before routing through Portinscale and into Newlands Valley, passing beside Derwentwater and through surrounding countryside.
The course features sustained climbs and descents set against a backdrop of fells, lakes and traditional Lakeland villages. The event runs on 20 September 2026 and is marshalled throughout, with water stations and medical support in place on race day.
