About Kingfisher Challenge
The Kingfisher Challenge takes place at Coombe Abbey Park in Coventry on 30 September 2026. This is a 6-hour trail running event where participants aged 17 and over complete as many laps as possible within the time limit, with each lap covering 3.3 miles. The route runs mostly on stone pathways with an open grassland section that may be muddy depending on weather conditions.
Four laps equates to a half marathon distance, while eight laps completes a marathon. The park sits on Coventry's outskirts, roughly 6 minutes from Junction 2 of the M6, with Coventry train station nearby. On-site parking is available, and facilities including a cafe and toilet block are located at the event HQ. A GPX file of the measured course is provided to participants.
