About Kinloss Running Festival Sunday
A half marathon, 10K and 5K take place on Sunday 30 August 2026 at Kinloss Barracks Training Area on the Moray coast. The races use runways, taxiways and perimeter roads within the former RAF airfield, creating a distinctive road running experience in a setting rarely open to the public. The courses are flat and accurately measured, with less than 20 metres of elevation throughout.
The half marathon follows an out and back 13.1 mile route, while the 10K and 5K use fast looped courses on tarmac and concrete. This is the second day of the Kinloss Running Festival, with road races for runners of all ages and abilities.
