The courses follow well-marked and marshalled footpaths and bridleways that climb into the foothills of Helvellyn, with mainly off-road terrain and short sections of tarmac.
The 15 km distance includes both a competitive Race option and a Challenge option for non-competitive runners and walkers. Start and finish take place at Jenkin's Field.
