About Lakeland Trails Leighton Hall
Lakeland Trails brings its Leighton Hall edition to north Lancashire in March, set within the Arnside and Silverdale National Landscape. The 10 km trail route winds through farmland, reedbeds, and hard-packed trails—with some muddy sections—before finishing with a fast section in front of Leighton Hall itself. Along the way, runners can take in views of the River Kent estuary, Morecambe Bay, and the distant Lake District fells.
The event village at the hall hosts live music, local food stalls, and running gear retailers. Water stations are positioned along the course; runners need to bring their own hydration vests or reusable cups, as the event is cup-free for environmental reasons. Dogs are not permitted at the venue or on the course. Yealand Conyers railway station is a short walk away, and on-site parking is available on grass (cars and small vans only).
