About LDWA Autumn Forest Marathon
The Long Distance Walkers Association returns to Warwickshire with its Autumn Forest Marathon, establishing a new home in Henley-in-Arden for this edition. The event offers two trail routes—20 miles and 27 miles—both starting and finishing at the Memorial Hall on Station Road, taking in forest scenery as the season shifts into autumn.
Walkers begin from 8am with staggered starts, while runners follow later in the morning. The 27-mile route includes three checkpoints providing refreshments, with two checkpoints on the shorter distance. A hot meal awaits finishers. The course winds through varying stages of woodland, from newly planted sections to mature forest, showcasing the Heart of England Forest landscape. Any profits beyond event costs are donated to the Heart of England Forest to support their conservation work.
