The Leeds Golden Mile returns to Leeds Beckett Carnegie Athletics Centre on 29 August 2026, offering runners aged 8 and over the chance to race the classic one mile distance on a certified athletics track. Competitors are seeded into heats based on predicted finish times, creating closely matched racing throughout the day. The flat four lap course is accurately measured and ideal for fast performances.
The event includes separate junior categories for 8 to 11 year olds and 12 to 16 year olds, with adult races alongside them. Every finisher receives a certificate.
