About Legless 5K Beer Challenge
Bowdon Rugby Club hosts this trail-based challenge on 22 May 2027, where participants navigate a 5 km course (two laps of 2.5 km) through fields, woodland and paths. The route features inflatable and non-inflatable obstacles including a tyre run, hay bales and a crawler, with all obstacle access included in entry.
The event's distinctive feature is its drink stations positioned roughly every kilometre along the course, serving beer, water, cider, Prosecco, wine and gin—runners may consume up to five alcoholic drinks during the event. Participants can run or walk the route. The venue offers free parking, clubhouse toilets, changing rooms and showers, with food available on site. Spectators are welcome with accessible wheelchair space. The event is for over-18s only.
