About Leicestershire 3 Peaks
A 16-mile trail run or walk across Leicestershire's Charnwood countryside, the 3 Peaks Challenge visits three notable summits: Beacon Hill, Bardon Hill and Old John in Bradgate Park. Taking place on 27 September 2026, the event starts and finishes within Beacon Hill Country Park and has established itself as an annual September fixture since 2016.
Participants take on the challenge as a community fundraising activity, with all proceeds supporting local people in need. Finishers receive certificates and event mementos. Previous editions have attracted a mixed field of runners, walkers and dogs, with fundraising consistently reaching five figures in recent years.
