About Lighthouse Marathon
A point-to-point trail race along the Cornish Coast Path, the Lighthouse Marathon and Ultra takes place on 7 November 2026, starting from near St Just. Runners can choose between the 26.2-mile marathon or the 35-mile ultra, both following coastal terrain that encompasses rocks, sand, mud, water, tarmac and dunes. The marathon features around 4,000 feet of ascent, while the ultra adds a further 1,800 feet.
The route passes several lighthouses, including Pendeen and Godrevy on the marathon course. Ultra runners also encounter Longships and Lands End lighthouses. Transport is provided from the event base at Sunset Surf Cafe in Gwithian to the start area, with free parking, a bag drop and post-race food available. Crew members are permitted on the course.
