About Linacre Infini: for Ashgate Hospice
Linacre Infini offers runners and walkers a chance to test their endurance in a scenic trail setting while supporting a good cause. Taking place on 1 November 2026 at Spire View in North East Derbyshire, this 6-hour lapped event invites participants to complete as many circuits as possible within the time limit. Each lap covers 5km on well-maintained trails and footpaths through Linacre's wooded valley, home to three reservoirs.
The route is fully marked and includes some climbing despite the valley setting. Runners pass a checkpoint at the end of each lap where food and drinks are available. All profits from the event go to Ashgate Hospice, with First Light Adventure and Severn Trent Water covering event costs. Medic cover is stationed on course and at race headquarters. Every finisher receives a medal, and prizes are awarded for the most laps completed in both male and female categories.
