About Long Mynd Valleys
Taking place in early February, Long Mynd Valleys is an AM category fell race across 18 km of trail in Carding Mill Valley, near Church Stretton in the Shropshire/Welsh Borders. The route climbs approximately 1300 metres through the Shropshire landscape, with runners starting and finishing at the National Trust Pavilion in Carding Mill Valley.
The race is open to runners aged 18 and over who have completed a qualifying fell race (AM, BL or AL category) within the previous two winters. Strict cut-off points operate along the course. The event is UK Athletics permitted and insured through the Fell Runners Association.
