About Loweswater Show Fell Race
This fell race in the Lake District welcomes runners of all ages, from juniors aged nine upwards through to senior competitors. The Loweswater Show fell race takes place on 6 September 2026 at New House Farm near Cockermouth, with a 2.6 mile trail course that climbs 305 metres through Dodd Wood.
Entry happens on the day of the race itself, with no advance registration required. Teams are permitted to compete, and prizes are awarded to the top four finishers in both male and female categories. Junior races cater for U9, U11 and U13 age groups alongside the senior race, which is open to competitors aged 13 and above.
